A free diagnosis of your operation — and an honest verdict
One or two working sessions with the people who would build the system — free, no obligation. We map how your operation actually runs, put numbers on the leaks and tell you plainly whether software is worth building. A third of the time, our answer is "don't build" — in writing.
What you walk away with
Not a slide deck and not a proposal in disguise — four things your team can act on with or without us.
A written diagnosis
The workflow map, the priced leaks and the constraints — a document your own team will recognise as true. Yours to keep, whatever happens next.
The metric a system would answer to
One number — hours saved, error rate, cycle time — that any future build is judged against. If nobody can name it, nothing should be built.
A build or don't-build verdict, with reasoning
Written out in plain language. Roughly a third of the time the verdict is "don't build" — and you get that on paper, not buried in a pitch.
If build: a scoped, priced estimate
The diagnosis feeds a free estimate — architecture, milestones, a price that holds and a focused v1 typically 2–3 months out.
How it works
Book a call
Thirty minutes with a partner to hear the problem and agree who should be in the room. If a diagnosis doesn't make sense for you, we say so on that call.
Working sessions on your operation
Over 1–2 weeks, an engineer and a partner sit with the people who run the process, map the workflow end to end and put numbers on where hours and money leak.
A written verdict
Build, buy, change the process or do nothing — with the reasoning and the numbers behind it. If the answer is build, the free estimate follows.
Who it's for
Any operations-heavy business, in any industry. If work moves through handoffs, tools and spreadsheets — and somebody suspects it moves slower than it should — there's something to diagnose. Familiar signals:
A representative list, not a boundary. We've diagnosed operations across logistics, legal, healthcare, retail, finance and more — see the industries we know — and the method transfers because the leaks look alike everywhere.
The diagnosis is yours — whoever builds
Everything we produce — the workflow map, the numbers, the verdict — is yours to keep and act on with anyone: your in-house team, another vendor or nobody at all. No retainer to sign first, no follow-up sequence, no obligation to build with us. We bet that if the thinking is good, enough people come back.
Common questions
Is it really free?
Yes — free and without obligation. Diagnosis is how we scope well enough to give estimates that hold, so for us it's underwriting, not marketing. If nothing comes of it, you keep the written diagnosis and we part on good terms.
What do you need from us?
Roughly 2–4 hours from the person who owns the process, short conversations with the people who run it daily and whatever numbers you already have — exports, spreadsheets, rough counts. No preparation or documentation required.
Do we have to build with you afterwards?
No. If the verdict is build, the next step is a scoped, priced estimate — also free. You can take the diagnosis, the estimate or both to your in-house team or another vendor, and there's no follow-up sequence either way.
What if software isn't the answer?
Then that's the verdict — in writing, with the reasoning and usually a cheaper alternative: an off-the-shelf tool, a process change or a smaller automation. Roughly a third of diagnoses end this way, and they cost nothing.
The worst case is a free second opinion.
Working sessions, a written diagnosis and an honest verdict — even when the verdict is "don't build."
